Garneau Diamond Road Cycling Helmet represents Louis Garneauís greatest
achievement in helmets. At 285 grams and over 40 vents, they have designed a
helmet to out perform the competition. Through patented technology, Louis
Garneau has unleashed an absurd amount of ventilation while still meeting safety
standards. The Diamond was worn by Chrissie Wellington in her record-setting
2009 Ironman World Championship title.
- Designed with technology specific to road cycling.
Monocque Structural Base; Ring-shaped protection at the helmet base, which
reinforces the perimeter. A plastic covers the head completely for enhanced
Technology - A
strategic helmet inner part is covered with microplastic. In the case of major
impact, the foam is located between inner and outer micro-plastic parts, which
spread the shock of the impact on a larger surface. Added to the MSB base, both
technologies are compatible, which improves the helmet structure.
Elite - Spiderlock
Elite is a helmet stabilizing device separated from the webbing system. It
offers quick and easy adjustment on the rider's head owing to its
rack-and-pinion mechanism using only one hand. Rubber-covered anti-slip
adjusting wheel for easy use. Angle can be adjusted. Ergonomic foam padding for
optimum comfort to the neck area.
True skeleton, this lightweight composite-made frame is designed to spread the
shock of impacts. Helmets with larger vents can thus be built without adding
Channels - When
Louis Garneau builds a helmet, they take into account airflow since the heat of
the rider's head must be evacuated in order to keep a good performance. Moisture
channels are designed to let the air in at the front of the helmet through to
the back to efficiently keep the head cool.
Industrial process binding the microplastic and polystyrene together to add
superior mechanical properties to these materials.
Divider - Cam
locking device to quickly adjust strap position.
Padding - Washable
sealed adjustment padding for enhanced durability, ergonomic design for optimum
