Shipping Policy

TriVillage.com processes orders received by 10:00am EST during the same business day.  If the product you ordered shows Availability: Usually Ships within 24 business hours, we will make every effort to ship the product the same business day if the order is received by 10:00am EST or the next business day if the order is received after 10:00am EST. Items with Availability: Usually Ships within X business days are either in transit from the vendor to our warehouse or are being shipped directly to you from our vendor’s warehouse. In order to estimate the date when you will receive the product you must add the Shipping Transit Time appearing below to the number of days appearing next to Availability.

International Shipping Restrictions

Governments adopt and modify shipping restrictions from time to time.  In order to avoid shipping delays, we recommend you contact your country’s customs department and confirm that no restrictions have been imposed on the importation of the items you intend to order from us.  If we determine that customs restrictions prevent us from shipping your items, we will immediately contact you via e-mail and will issue a 100% refund.

Due to shipping restrictions, the following product categories cannot be shipped internationally:

-          Nutritional products

-          Pressurized products such as CO2 cartridges, sprays

-          Liquids like detergents, lubes, etc

Due to exorbitant international shipping rates for oversized, bulky, heavy items, the following items cannot ship internationally

-          Baby strollers

-          Bicycle trainers

From time to time we are unable to ship large orders in one shipment due to size restrictions imposed by the United States Postal Service in conjunction with the postal service in destination countries. In these cases, we will contact you immediately to discuss alternate shipping methods and any impact to shipping costs.

 

International Duties and Taxes

Duties and taxes associated with importing and clearing your items through customs are not included in the shipping costs charged during the checkout process.  These costs are incurred when the Parcel

Carrier clears the products through customs on your behalf.  You will be required to reimburse the Parcel Carrier for these costs at the time of delivery to your home or business.  Although we are confident our Parcel Carrier partners understand the importation requirements in all the countries where they operate, government agency actions and decisions may results in shipping delays.  We are not responsible for any costs incurred as a result of these actions or decisions.

In the event that a customer rejects an international shipment, upon receipt of the rejected shipment, TriVillage will refund only the amount charged for the product minus any shipping and processing costs assessed by carrier to return the merchandise.

 

Lost and Damaged Shipments

We will work directly with carriers to resolve any lost or damaged shipments. You should contact customer service as soon as you become aware that a shipment has been lost or damaged. We will obtain all the pertinent information from you in order to submit an inquiry or claim to the carrier depending on the circumstances. Most lost or damaged shipments are replaced within 5 – 10 business days but some may take up to 30 business days.
