Unlike earphones, which never stay in your ears while swimming, these sit next to your ear lobes, attached to your goggle straps.

Using something called bone conduction. It essentially vibrates the music into the ears and actually sounds better underwater than out of it. Music comes across remarkably clear and really helps ease the boredom of a long swim workout.

In terms of use it's pretty easy. Just plug the USB connector into your computer and manually drag files from your iTunes (or similar music folder) into the device's folder. The buttons can be a little tricky to operate at first but you get the hang of it rather quickly.

Really a neat machine and highly recommended. Also shipping was a breeze through TriVillage.com!
