The light, bouncy, and balanced ride of the Ghost has haunted the dreams of many competitors and it’s about to get frighteningly good.
The Brooks Ghost 6 Road Running Shoe for men has taken the transition from silky to ridiculously smooth by removing the midfoot shank and creating full ground contact from heel to toe. The underfoot gets even more love with a horseshoe Caterpillar Crash Pad that wraps the heel from medial to lateral sides and articulates the laydown. Looking as good as it feels, runners will fall in love with this friendly ghost.
Recent quality issues with Adidas made me go back to Brooks. I had tried the Ghost 3 a while back and was not convinced. The Ghost 6 however is a total different story.
I run about 35 miles a week, am a neutral runner with a high arch and this shoes is an excellent fit. Overall the "6" is a perfectly balanced shoe providing just the right amount of cushioning without feeling "mushy". Flexibility has improved greatly and the shoe feels light and natural. Upper material is well made and the lacing system keeps a snug fit. Am considering getting the waterproof version for the fall/winter.
